Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

1.1. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between MC Monitor ("we", "us", "our"), operated as a sole proprietorship under the trading name MC Monitor at mc-monitor.app, and any person who accesses or uses the Platform ("you", "User").

1.2. MC Monitor is an independent real-time Minecraft server directory. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, or Microsoft Corporation.

1.3. By accessing or using MC Monitor in any way — browsing server listings, creating an account, voting, rating tags, copying IPs, or purchasing a server promotion — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you disagree, stop using the Platform immediately.

1.4. The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. Price changes for paid services do not affect already-purchased and active promotions.

2. What MC Monitor Is

2.1. MC Monitor automatically aggregates publicly available data about Minecraft servers — IP addresses, player counts, uptime status, game modes, version info — from public monitoring APIs and direct Minecraft server queries (Server List Ping protocol). We are a directory, not a server operator.

2.2. Key platform features available without an account:

• Browse and filter 25,000+ Minecraft server listings by game mode, version, players, and tags;
• View live player counts updated every few minutes;
• Access 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day historical player charts;
• Copy any server's IP address to your clipboard with one click.

2.3. Additional features available to registered users:

• Vote for servers once per server per day;
• Like or dislike gameplay tags on server pages;
• Track your voting history in your account dashboard.

2.4. Server operators may purchase paid promotion packages to boost their server's visibility on the Platform.

3. Eligibility and Age

3.1. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You may browse public listings at any age without registering.

3.2. If you are between 13 and 16 (or the digital consent age in your EU Member State), your parent or guardian must have reviewed and consented to these Terms on your behalf.

3.3. If you are under 18, you may not purchase server promotions without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

3.4. For users in the EU/EEA: You have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. At checkout, you will be asked to expressly confirm that you want the Promotion to start immediately and acknowledge that this waives your right of withdrawal once the service begins. If you do not confirm immediate start, the 14-day window applies to the unused portion.

4. User Accounts

4.1. You may create an account using: (a) email address and password; (b) Google account via OAuth 2.0; or (c) Discord account via OAuth 2.0. When registering via Google or Discord, we receive limited profile data (email, display name, avatar) as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.2. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

4.3. You may have only one account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass vote limits, tag rating limits, or any other restriction is prohibited and may result in all associated accounts being suspended.

4.4. You must provide accurate information at registration. You may not register with a temporary or disposable email address.

4.5. You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. All personal data linked to your account is deleted immediately and permanently upon deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.6. We may suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior, or any other reason we determine appropriate. Where termination is not caused by your violation, we will pro-rate any remaining active promotion time as described in our Refund Policy.

5. Voting and Tag Ratings

5.1. Registered users may cast one vote per server per day. Votes count toward servers' monthly rankings.

5.2. Tag ratings (likes/dislikes on gameplay tags) help the community assess how accurately a tag describes a server.

5.3. Both votes and tag ratings must reflect your honest, genuine experience. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Voting or rating from multiple accounts;
• Using bots, scripts, VPNs, proxies, anonymizers, task exchanges, or any automated tool to cast votes or ratings;
• Coordinating with others to mass-vote or mass-rate a server;
• Any other artificial manipulation of votes, ratings, or rankings.

5.4. We use automated and manual analysis to detect manipulation. When we detect it, we may — without notice and without obligation to explain our methods:

• Nullify some or all votes for a server;
• Remove the server from vote-based rankings;
• Restrict or permanently disable voting for that server;
• Suspend the accounts involved.

5.5. Voting and tag rating are free features. We do not guarantee their continuous availability and may modify or discontinue them at any time.

6. Server Promotions and Payments

6.1. Server operators may purchase paid promotion packages ("Promotions") that boost a server's position in the MC Monitor directory. Each Promotion runs for a fixed period (currently 3 days) and activates immediately upon payment confirmation.

6.2. All payments are processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. By purchasing a Promotion, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service (stripe.com/legal) and Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). We never receive or store your full card number or other sensitive payment data — Stripe sends us only a transaction confirmation.

6.3. Prices are displayed in USD at checkout and may be subject to applicable local taxes, which are your responsibility.

6.4. A Promotion provides priority placement in the directory for its active period. We do not guarantee a specific rank position, since position is determined by our algorithm alongside all other active promotions. The service is deemed properly rendered when priority placement is provided for the full paid period, regardless of the resulting rank, visitor count, or click-through.

6.5. Promotions shown in the interface may be marked with a promotional indicator visible to users.

6.6. Refunds are governed exclusively by our Refund Policy. Please read it before purchasing.

7. Chargebacks

7.1. If you have any issue with a payment, contact us first at [email protected]. We handle payment disputes promptly and fairly.

7.2. Initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us is considered a breach of good faith. It may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of any active promotions.

7.3. If you initiate an unjustified chargeback, you agree to reimburse us for all losses directly caused by it, including processing fees charged by Stripe.

7.4. Account access may be restored after a chargeback only if the dispute is resolved in our favor or you reimburse the disputed amount and related costs.

8. Server Data and Third-Party Content

8.1. All server data on MC Monitor — IP addresses, player counts, descriptions, game modes — is collected from publicly accessible sources and direct Minecraft server pings. We do not create, control, or endorse any listed server.

8.2. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any server data. Server information is provided for informational purposes only. You connect to any listed server at your own risk.

8.3. A listing on MC Monitor does not constitute any endorsement of a server's community, content, administration, or policies.

8.4. Server owners may request removal or correction of their server's listing by contacting [email protected] from an email address associated with the server's official contacts. We review requests within 10 business days.

9. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

9.1. In addition to the voting rules in Section 5, the following are prohibited across all features of the Platform:

• Creating multiple accounts, including after a previous account was suspended;
• Using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or any automated tool to collect data or interact with the Platform without our written permission;
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or other users' accounts;
• Introducing malware, viruses, or any harmful code into the Platform;
• Submitting false, misleading, or defamatory information about any server;
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users, server communities, or MC Monitor personnel;
• Using the Platform to advertise third-party services without our prior written consent;
• Reproducing, scraping, or commercially exploiting any part of the Platform's content or database without our written permission;
• Impersonating any person, entity, or organization;
• Violating any applicable law or regulation.

9.2. When we detect violations or have reasonable grounds to suspect them, we may — individually or in combination — suspend or terminate the account, nullify votes or ratings, remove content, or restrict access to any feature. You may appeal by emailing [email protected]; we will respond within 10 business days.

9.3. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including but not limited to Argentine Ley 24.240, EU Directive 2011/83/EU, and CCPA/CPRA.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1. The MC Monitor name, logo, website design, source code, database compilation, and original written content are owned by MC Monitor and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit them without our prior written consent.

10.2. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios. MC Monitor is not affiliated with, licensed by, or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation. Use of "Minecraft" and related marks is purely descriptive.

10.3. To report a copyright infringement, send a notice to [email protected] including: identification of the work; location of the infringing content; your contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; and confirmation that your information is accurate.

11. Disclaimers

11.1. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11.2. We do not warrant that: (a) the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) server data is accurate or current; or (c) any particular server is safe, legal, or appropriate.

11.3. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including but not limited to Argentine Ley 24.240, EU Directive 2019/770/EU (digital content), and CCPA/CPRA.

11.4. Nothing in this section limits rights under Directive 2019/770/EU (digital content) or other mandatory EU consumer protection law.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MC Monitor and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or reputational damage, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

12.2. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim; or (b) USD $10.

12.3. The limitation in 12.2 does not apply to liability arising from willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that applicable mandatory law does not allow to be limited.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

13.1. These Terms are governed by the principles of international private law applicable in the jurisdiction of your habitual residence, to the extent required by mandatory local consumer protection law.

13.2. Before initiating any formal proceeding, contact us at [email protected] with a written description of your claim. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.

13.3. EU consumers: You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13.4. Argentine consumers: You may submit complaints to the Dirección Nacional de Defensa del Consumidor (DNDC) or the relevant provincial consumer authority (e.g., Defensa del Consumidor Buenos Aires).

13.5. California users: You may contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs and retain all rights under the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act.

13.6. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

14. Changes to These Terms

14.1. We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version at mc-monitor.app/terms with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account.

15. General Provisions

15.1. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

15.2. Our failure to enforce any provision in a given case does not waive our right to enforce it later.

15.3. These Terms and the linked policies (Privacy, Refund, Cookie, Community Rules) constitute the entire agreement between you and MC Monitor regarding the Platform.

15.4. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets without your consent.
