AscendMC

AscendMC operates as a multi-gamemode Minecraft network where Java and Bedrock players share the same worlds through full crossplay support. The network doesn't specialize in a single playstyle—instead it runs parallel experiences ranging from competitive PvP formats to long-term progression systems.

Core Gamemodes

The PvP roster covers the standard competitive spectrum: Bedwars for team-based elimination, Skywars for solo and squad combat on floating arenas, KitPvP for loadout-focused duels, and Hunger Games for battle royale survival. Factions adds territory control and raiding on top of that foundation.

For players who prefer progression over combat, the network runs Prisons with its rank-up mining loop, Skyblock with island economy management, and Oneblock where everything starts from a single block. Lifesteal introduces a permadeath-adjacent mechanic where killing other players permanently increases your maximum health. Gens provides a generator-based automation and economy experience.

Towny and CityBuild serve the builder crowd with land claiming and collaborative construction. Earth offers a geopolitical sandbox on a world map. Roleplay, Parkour, Anarchy, LuckyBlock, McMMO, Capture the Flag, MineZ, and Survival Games fill out the remaining slots for niche playstyles.

Technical Setup

The server runs on Spigot with custom plugin development rather than off-the-shelf configurations. This applies to gamemode mechanics, economy systems, and crossplay translation between Java and Bedrock clients.
